In keeping with the season here in the northern hemisphere, I’ve focused on Canada as the one of the world’s finest winter sports destinations, offering luxury accommodation; great urban chic and some serious mountain adventures.
I love my time in Whistler and despiet heacy snowfall, there was no problem landing at Vancouver (the airport has multiple runways, with heating and also technolgy to support landings in pratical zero visibility).
The drive up to the resort is stunning. I am also stayed at the Chateau by Fairmont in Whistler, so I also recomend that place. Like the Four Seasons, it’s large but the style and ervice make you feel like more than just a number.
